Imagination . Self Expression. Communication .

The Spotlight Project is a dynamic acting workshop designed for youth aged 12–18 from underserved communities. Through character work, improvisation, and storytelling exercises,

Participants explore their creativity, build emotional intelligence, and develop essential life skills like communication, collaboration, and self-expression.

By centering the voices and stories of young people, The Spotlight Project becomes more than an acting class — it’s a launchpad for confidence, curiosity, and possibility.

Mission Statement

The Spotlight Project workshops empower underserved youth through the transformative power of acting. Rooted in the founder’s personal journey, we use performance and storytelling to ignite imagination, strengthen communication, and build confidence — helping teens see beyond their limitations and step boldly into their potential.

“I wanted to add a drama class to my program because I believe in its ability to help kids with everyday communication with their peers and adults.  Exploring their creativity through acting has been a fun and exciting way for our teens to express themselves.   I believe in the coaches at the Spotlight Project.  The students are excited to attend the classes each week.  I've seen an increase in their confidence. The coaches encourage the teens to engage based on their individuality and imagination.”
